The General Assembly also confirmed SNE’s ambitious strategy for the coming years, which includes more and better communication and focuses on SNE’s policy asks for the new term of the EU institutions, as summarised in SNE’s manifesto ‘Nutrition & food for thought’. For example, SNE asks for ‘solid and specific regulation for all foods for specific groups, especially for Young Child Formula for children from 12 to 36 months and Sport Foods, which are both currently excluded from the EU’s strict Foods for Specific Groups Regulation.’ SNE secretary general Beat Späth said: “The SNE team in Brussels is excited to advance our ambitious strategy and to work closely with our enlarged board”.
